Sweet & Spicy Roasted Broccoli

Frank is not a vegetable eater. I feel like I am talking to a child when it comes to vegetables around him, promising him that he only gets dessert if he eats his vegetables too. You can imagine my amazement then when after trying the roasted broccoli I made as a side to a pork tenderloin a few nights ago, he exclaimed “even the broccoli is good!”

Try this recipe on your picky vegetable eater, and hopefully you will have the same reaction!

Sweet & Spicy Roasted Broccoli
  • 1 bunch of broccoli, about 1lb
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • red pepper flake
1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees
2. In large mixing bowl combine all ingredients besides red pepper flake
3. Add broccoli to bowl, and toss to cover broccoli in mixture
4. Place broccoli on cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, add sprinkle red pepper flake over broccoli, and then bake for 10 more minutes
